Saugus Business Partnership Holds 2006 Quarterly Meeting

Saugus, MA

Former Boston Bruins Johnnie McKenzie and Johnnie Bucyk provided highlights of their hockey careers and talked about the team over the years during the recent quarterly meeting of the Saugus Business Partnership (SBP). The guest speakers talked about what it is like being a part of the Stanley Cup-winning team, their careers and the 2005-2006 Boston Bruins.

Before the introduction of the evening’s guest speakers, SBP President Donald Wong opened the meeting, focusing on the past year and the various activities and programs sponsored by SBP.

His remarks were followed by SBP Treasurer John Smolinsky who noted that the SBP welcomed three new members during the past two months: Out of Asia, North Shore Spirit, and Attorney John Vaspolli.

He noted that since the winter quarterly meeting, SBP has given over $20,000 to the community through donations made to the Saugus High School Student Council, Band, Choir and Golf Team, the Saugus Police Department, Saugus Theatre Company, Saugus Public Library, Saugus Library Foundation, and the North Shore Spirit.
