During the recent quarterly meeting of the Saugus Business Partnership (SBP), Ellen Faeilla was presented with a community service award in recognition of her determination, commitment, sense of purpose and conviction for the betterment of the Saugus community.

during the recent quarterly meeting of the SBP. A lifelong resident of Saugus, Faeilla serves as a member, chairman and former member of several committees and boards, including the Saugus School Committee.
According to award presenters SBP Treasurer John Smolinsky and President Donald Wong, Faeilla was selected to receive the award for her participation and leadership within several community organizations and boards. She currently serves as Chairman of Saugus Speaks Out, and as Chairman of Saugus Community Health Task Force, a position she has held since 2002. A member of the Saugus School Committee, she served on the board from 1995 to 2001, and again from 2003 to the present.
A former Chairman of the Saugus Playground Commission, Faeilla has served as a member of the Saugus Board of Health and as a Town Meeting member. A lifelong resident of Saugus, Faeilla and her husband of 30 years, William, are the parents of two adult children and the grandparents of one.

Before the presentation of the award and the introduction of the evening's guest speaker, SBP President Donald Wong opened the meeting, focusing on the past year and the various activities and programs sponsored by SBP.
Founded in 2003 by four local business leaders, the Saugus Business Partnership (SBP) was created to improve and enhance the quality of life in Saugus. The SBP works to keep local programs up and running, and is committed to research, analyze and develop policy on issues affecting the economy in Saugus.
