The Saugus Library Foundation and the Saugus Business Partnership (SBP) will sponsor the "3rd annual Evening of Wine Tasting and Silent Auction at the Library" on Saturday evening, October 15, 2005 from 7 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from the event that is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Saugus Public Library and the Saugus Chamber of Commerce will benefit Saugus Public Library programs, services and collections.
The Evening of Wine Tasting and Silent Auction at the Library will include a variety of wines for sampling, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and gourmet coffee. Each attendee will receive a commemorative wine glass featuring images of the old and new Library buildings, compliments of the Saugus Business Partnership.
The silent auction will include sports memorabilia, gift certificates, autographed sports items, and sporting event tickets as well as many more items donated by local businesses and merchants. Additional silent auction items will be greatly appreciated, according to Mary Rose Quinn, Director of the Saugus Public Library.
This is always an exciting and entertaining event for the benefit of the Library,
Mary Rose Quinn said. We encourage everyone to join us in celebrating the Saugus Public Library and all it has to offer.
We are also grateful to our sponsors without whom this event would not be possible. The Saugus Business Partnership and its President, Donald Wong, have once again been a tremendous help,
she concluded.
Tickets for the Evening of Wine Tasting and Silent Auction can be purchased at a cost of $25 per person at the circulation desk at the Saugus Public Library or from any member of the Saugus Library Foundation. Ticket costs are tax deductible and checks should be made payable to the Friends of the Saugus Public Library.
