The Saugus Business Partnership (SBP) recently made a $1250 donation to the Saugus High School golf teams. The donation enables the varsity team to practice and host its home meets at Cedar Glen Golf Course and the junior varsity Golf Team to practice at Lynnfield Center Golf Course. The 14-member varsity team was unable to fund the costs associated with greens fees until the SBP 'stepped up to the plate', according to Saugus High School Golf Coach Jeff Mitchell, third from left. Taking part in the check presentation were (from left) SBP President Donald Wong, team member Kevin McBride, SBP Treasurer John Smolinsky, Coach Mitchell, SBP Clerk Jim McIver, SHS Athletic Director John Nicolo, SBP Vice President Bill Doyle, team members Jeremy Wiseman and Rob Scuzzarella.
The Saugus Business Partnership are lifesavers for the sports teams in town. They always help us out when help is needed,
continued Coach Mitchell.
