Saugus Business Partnership Donates to the YMCA

Saugus, MA

The Saugus Business Partnership (SBP) recently presented a donation of $6,000 to Saugus/Peabody YMCA Director Greg Griffin, center, to help the YMCA apply for a $35,000 grant to refurbish its outdoor pools. According to the Director, the SBP stepped up to the plate when its members became aware that the YMCA needed to raise $5,000 or more before the grant application could be submitted. Presenting the donation on behalf of SBP are (from left to right) John Smolinsky, Treasurer; Attorney Bill Doyle; Donald Wong, President; and Jim McIver, Clerk.



Founded in 2003 by four local business leaders, the Saugus Business Partnership (SBP) was created to improve and enhance the quality of life in Saugus. The SBP works to keep local programs up and running, and is committed to research, analyze and develop policy on issues affecting the economy in Saugus.
